15th
Annual Daryl Lecuyer Memorial
Charity Softball
Tournament
June 8th & 9th...J. Alph Dulude Recreation
complex, Clyde Avenue Ottawa
This year the proceeds from the tournament went to the Members
Assistance Program (MAP). Eighteen teams participated (12 from the Ottawa & District Building Trades
Council and another 6 mixed teams comprised of men and women from
various local unions and our corporate friends). Together they raised
$15,000.00 which will go towards keeping this very successful
program running for the benefit of our building trades members and their families.
This year Local 47 had three teams in the tournament, one each from
Roofing, Sheet Metal, and Production. Although our teams did not win they had a
great time and can be proud to have played their part in this very
worthwhile event.
Congratulations to Local 586 for winning the Building Trades
tournament and to the PSAC team for winning the mixed tournament
Congratulations and many thanks to all who participated as well
thanks to the primary sponsor, Jewitt Morrison & Associates and
a great many of
our local building trades contractors, regional
& provincial associations, and other friends as listed
in the Official Program but unfortunately too numerous to mention here.
